Spain's ham gateway to the world

Ham stories start with "black footed pig" which feeds on acorn and hazel nuts which they are slaughter for its famous Iberico ham which highly in price and is 8 times more expensive than Serrano hams, pigs breed at surrounding Seirra Mountains of Spain.

These black Iberan pigs are genetic pure i.e no cross breed since 18th century. In Europe, the jamón ibérico price can range from $18 per pound (~30 euros per kilogram) for the lowest quality, to more than $90 per pound (~150 euros per kilogram) when bought at restaurants, making these hams some of the most expensive in the world.
