German breed medium sized "gun dog" tracks, points and retrieves hunting-prey i.e. rabbit, fox, fowl etc effeciently and with lightning speed impressed hunters during 19th century.
Currently, Weimaraner makes a robust household companion as a watch dog. Weimaraner unlike its cousin " Snauzer" with German origin play the role as a police rescue dog in mission critical operation.
